Submit a completed review
Reports of completed reviews should be submitted within 18 months of acceptance of the protocol. These will be reviewed by the assigned BICC with advice from external reviewers and BRC members.
Review checklist– When the completed review is being reviewed by the assigned BICC they use the Review Checklist. It is always useful for review authors to refer to this checklist to ensure that all the essential elements are included in their completed review.
Reports with required revisions will be published as described below. Review teams will find the following referee guidance useful in writing their review reports.
Following the consultation process detailed in the Draft Review/Peer Review section, the final report will be prepared by the review group.
The format of the review report should, in general, follow Medical Teacher Guidelines for the preparation of manuscripts, but with the following exceptions.
- For the peer review process all tables and figures should be inserted in the most appropriate place in the manuscript. For publication in Medical Teacher please follow the above guidelines.
- You should email BEME the review report for peer review, please do not upload via ScholarOne.
